Default 502 MPI upgrade results

I just got this off the dyno a couple days ago and think this is a great little package for the 502. The cam is from Bob Madara, the tune is from Mark Boos. Stock 502mpi with the intake dividers cut down and a bit of porting, stainless marine exhaust, run on the dyno with all accessories, wet exhaust through GGB mufflers. It idles at 600rpm and the tune was perfect. You could bump the rev limiter up and make a bit more. It made 508hp just before it hit the limiter at 5350rpm. Thanks again to Bob and Mark!

Looks like you need to turn the rev limiter up to 5500!

Thanks for posting the results. I guess its not that hard to make over 500hp with the stock 502 intake

So is it basically a stock mag with bob madera cam, a little intake porting, stainless marine manifold, and everything else stock? Nice numbers!

Yes, and a tune from Mark. I upgraded the springs when I did the heads, which are stock rebuilt, and everything else is factory. That's why I thought it was worth posting, it's a pretty simple combo for anyone to duplicate. Just call Bob.

nice! Did you go to roller rockers, tiebar lifters and new pushrods? or running all stock? I would like to duplicate your set next year on a set of 502efi 96's.
