Default How's the Apache market

I'm testing the waters, just listed my 36 for sale. Are any Apache's moving, if so are they bringing decent money?

You can check it out here http://www.tutama.com or in the classifieds.

IT'S LIKE ANYTHING ELSE THESE DAY'S THEY HAVE TO BE A STEAL FOR SOMEONE TO BUY .
PLUS APACHE IS A SMALL NICHE MARKET AND MOST BOAT'S ARE KINDA ON THE OLD SIDE .
BUY THE WAY I DO LIKE YOUR BOAT HOW MANY HOUR'S ON MOTOR'S AND DRIVE'S YOU LEFT THAT PART OUT ON YOUR ADD ?
i know there's a 36 online with 575 hp's asking in the low $ 80 k range .
also medicine man 47 apache you could buy for just about $ 100k and i saw it 2 week's ago and i will say it is very nice well kept boat .
you just need to meet the rite buyer

THANK'S
MIKE

Rob, good luck with the sell, whats next a 41? The market is not great, the banks aren't helping much either, hope all is well.

One was just completely gone through less than 25 hours ago. New pistions, cam, lifters, pushrods, chain, valves, springs, heads, etc the whole 9 yards. I would of never been in it but I was out messing around in the spring in very cold water and dropped a valve seat into one of the cylinders. Since I was in there I replaced everything. Although even the beerings looked like new. I wanted to change the compression a little and cam profile to get a little more power out of it.

The other was last freshened maybe 250 hours ago.

One drive was fresh last year and has less than 10 hours on it.

The other drive was fresh the year before it may have 25 hours on it.

I only had the boat out 6 times last year, that's the main reason I am considering selling it.

Best of luck on your sale. The market is tough but u do have one of the cleaner more updated 36's out there. The 36' at national liquidators and the one in Ga with the 850's and 3a's for 69K are what skew the market because a buyer is going to try and compare your vessel to those.

Thanks Steve, everything is going great. The kids are getting older and growing up, obviously I don't want to miss these years, my daughter is going to be playing in USTA tournaments this year, my son will likely start baseball this year and my business is exploding and demanding more time. All these things mixed together is why I have it listed. If it sells great if it doesn't sell thats great too. We only used it 6 times last years, so owning it is really a waste.

Deep down I really want to go 100 and know to do it in this boat I'll need to go to 6's or Arensons. I simply can't see putting that kind of money into this boat. I know I'll never get any of that back out of it. I'm already losing money at the listing price....

I may look for a turn key 100 mph boat that is very reliable. Possible a 39 cig, since I know 90 plus can be done with 525's, naturally only if the price is right. I see some smokin deals right now. I don't think it will be a 41, there is just not enough room in a 41 and to go 100 in a 41 you're going to break stuff too often for me.

More likely I will step back and take a few years off from boating. To work on building my business to a point where it is creating the income I want and can run effeciently without me. I will have some time invested in finding and training the right group of people. And spend the next few years with the kids and family driving them from one sporting event to the next and maybey taking some vacations while they are still young.

I love the boat if it sells I will probably ask myself why the hell did I just do that... LOL

FYI I have noticed the banks are actually starting to lighten up again if you have solid credit. The days of anyone getting a loan are long gone. Now you have to actually be able to afford it. Mine being a 97 will lessen the people who will qualify.

Take care.....

Rob

Thanks Baywatch it has had 3 good owners who all took great care of her. I did a ton of updates over the last 2 years and it shows. Hopefully those updates will help me move her.

I may be bais but I have not seen a 36 that I feel has a better interior than mine. I'll change that too I probably am bias. LOL

I have to chuckle everytime I hear comparsions to boats that were repos which sold for 50k less. It's comical. Sometimes these repos need complete guts and re-rigs. Yes someone techinical with an extra 500 hours in free time could buy the repo and build it, they may end up with less in it. But this one is done.... It's hop in turn the keys and go.

For someone on a budget they are wiser to buy the repo and do the work. For someone who wants to hop in and go they are wiser to buy a turn key boat. To each his own. It is a shame how those numbers affect ones perception of the market.

Personally I don't have time for a project right now. So my next boat will be turn key. 10 years ago I would be looking for a bargain repo.

Thanks J, I am very happy with the way it came out. I'm not sure the Mayor appreciates the updated look. He did tell me it looked great after it was done. But when I told him I was going to redo with carbon fiber vinyl he wasn't feeling it. LOL

I actually spoke to him the other day he didn't seem too interested when I told him I was going to list it. I know he has his fountain for sale, although I'm not sure what his plans are if it sells.
