I found a used set of 19-24 4 blade Rollas. Currently I am running a set of 18-21 three blade rollas on fixed surface drives. I run about 50 m.p.h. 4,600 rpms WOT. Boat is 42' deep V weighing in about 14,000 lbs. Powered by twin 410 hp 502p Marine Power with 1.5 twin disc trans. The three blades work O.K. until I'm loaded with lots of gas and people. Then it is very hard to get on plane and it won't stay on plane unless I stay at or above 35 m.p.h. I know I need the extra diameter, but I'm not sure if I have enough power to turn these props at the proper WOT rpm's. I have been told by boat manufacturer that WOT rpm as low as 4100 is acceptable, but this sounds too low to me. The price on these props are too good to pass up, but I would like some opinions before I write the check.
