Anybody weld on extensions on there risers to prevent reversion?
#1
I have a 383 with a 222/230 duration, .543/.563 lift with a 112 LSA. The exhaust are brand new EMI's with the aluminum riser. ( eddie marine says the exhaust is good to 230 degrees of duration) so I am on the boarderline for longer risers... I am getting little puddles in the bottom of the runners. I was thinkin I could extend the exhaust pipe 6" and that might make it so I won't suck water. I am going to turn the idle up some more and maybe that will help to.. we had it idleing real low...
opinions?

Traviss,
We have been welding onto the risers for years, it does make a great differance in the reversion aspect. Seems to work just fine. We have a great welder in our area that welds on stainless steel risers as well as headers. Good luck.
