Default 225 Merc Opti max question

I have a pair of 225's that need new powerheads. 1000 hours, they runn but just dont make the power they used too. Can I up grade to 300's as a bolt on? Or even 250's?

I assume you mean just powerheads, if so I believe the answer is yes, they are all 3 liters, and should bolt right up to the mid, may need new exhaust adapters. If you mean complete motors, then definitely yes.

Just Have yours rebuilt to 300 spec's. It would be alot easier and then you know what you have.

If I was rebuilding 3.0L's Shaun Torrente would get my vote. Super nice guy and builds good reliable engines.

Shaun Torrente does not have a website. His Phone number is 786-229-5801. It is worth the time to call and talk to him about your engines.

What year are the 225s? my 2001 225 blew with less than 75 hours, the other one has 400 hours on it, I also need a 225 powerhead. I would like to goto 250s a side if I can afford to.
