Default Wanting a 22' sport class boat, scarab 22 or baja hammer? (new member)

Hey guys, I have always wanted a sport boat and I am in SC and it will just be a lake boat. I am looking at the 22ft class boats I'm intrested in is the scarab 22 (nice looking boat and not that bad on price) and the baja hamer (nice and about the same price as scarab) what floor material are found in these 2 boats?

I am wanting something that will hande chop on the weekends. I just sold my 19ft I/O ski boat with 260hp 350 it was a nice boat just would beat you to death on the weekend in rough water.

surely any of the above will take the water better than that ki boat but between the scarab 22 and the baja hammer which will take rough water better?

I am wanting one with a big block but I noticed it's hard to find a scarab 22 with a fuel injected 454 most are carb which means less power (stock for stock) and a lot worse on fuel which with $5 gas coming is a issue.

If you don't want a rough ride I'd go for the Scarab will be handle rougher water much better.

The hammer will pound in any mixed up lake chop.

Check out a Velocity 22. Might as well go fast.

Of the two, I would go with the Scarab. I had one with a 502MPI, it was a lot of fun. I ran mine in rougher water than I should of, but I think either of them will still pound you. My Scarab would fly leveler than a Baja when getting air.
I agree with Padraig, check out a 22 Velocity.

I just sold a 24' h2x last year to finance a bigger boat THAT BOAT ROCKED but going a couple of feet smaller I would choose the scarab. Personal opinion though
