Help! I have to get a lock of my propeller and do not have the key. I believe its a McGard. Anyone have ot deal with this issue? I have to get the prop off to have it balanced. thx

If McGard.com can't help you and your prop does not have a long defusser ring I would weld down in the out side of the nut to the lock ring fusing the nut to the collar. Then take a pipe wrench on the collar and spin it off.

send a pic to Mc Gard and they can send a new one...been there done that.

Wish I had known that a few years back, spent a long time with a dremel grinding mine off

called McGard got the socket for about $25 and took it off no problems thx again
