17 x 36 mercury props, need to try the 37 herings we have next. we were on the servern river in annapolis md, yes it was a little cold temp was 44 degrees. temps are going to be up in the 60s this week for the next run. Should have go pro cam ready for that run.

You must be running a 1.50 gear ratio in the drives.

gear ratio
Yes we are running the stock 1.50 gear ratio in the drives. factory gears for 850s we might have to change gears down the road, just had drives refreshed before key west. it had a couple more mph left in it the other day , had trim tabs way down to be safe. Plus didn't want to kill it first time out...LOL

Interested how the 37s turn out, we are running tweeked 17 x 34 Herrings on 1:42s. Also hitting the rev limiters. May try some 16.8 x 36s this summer to see if any speed is gained. The tabs are your friend....

It would be nice if you can stick with the 1.50s and just increase the pitch. The Merc props ran good on the top end on my 42 but the cruise was horrible compared to the herings. Have you considered trying a little more diameter.
