Default OMC to Mercruiser swap question...

Hey guys,

I am swapping my 1988 4-Winns Liberator from OMC to Mercruiser power. My question is, will the wiring harness in the boat (for the guages, ignition switch, etc.) plug into the new Mercruiser wiring harness on the engine? The engine is a rebuilt 1988 Mercruiser 454. The connectors look similar but I don't know if the wires are in the correct places? Thanks.

Randy
