Default Exhaust Dyno Charts

For those interested in the results of various exhaust systems this is a chart that I have. I don't know who did the dyno results but there is some good info here!

Interesting that these numbers on "Torque Only" are just about in line with what we found in all of our header and manifold dyno testing and pretty close to what Bob at Full Throttle found in his tests! I will find and post the Dana manifold header tests as well so people can make that comparison also for about the same engine size and horsepower levels. Its obvious from these results that individual long tube headers or manifolds make more power and torque than short passage or tube manifolds and headers!
Did this Fountain testing ever show and list the corrected horsepower levels also??

Yes- There is 6 pages of data. Click on the arrow on the top of Adobe Reader. I also have it in Excel format but OSO can't up load excel files so I converted it to pdf. The way it looks to me the higher the engine revs the better the long tubes work. This is why I sold my stainless marine manifolds and bought Eickerts. My engine makes peak power around 6k so I felt is was worth the change. I'm interested to see the Dana results.

OK now I can navigate thru all the pages, sorry my problem. Brain Fart!

Curious if this was an HP500 carb engine or a 540 Bulldog or perhaps a HP500efi ??? Do you have that engine spec. data they were using on these tests??
Like to see that also.

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

Ray-
I sent a copy in excel to you, which should make it easier to navigate. As to the engine specs, I think this was done on an HP500 carb but I'm not 100% on that.

I see this question recently surfaced on BCK's post. Instead of posting this info there and derailing his post, I'll just bring this old post back to the top.

I read some OLD raylar ones a while back. There are a few good ones out there from way back yet still good info as that's one thing that hasn't changed much is exhaust. i would have to guess he's probably right up there with the top on exhaust with different combo builds testing.

I can guarantee you I'm not testing any headers. Until my CMIs break...
