I agree, with the way fuel is bieng mixed these days i refuse to do polly tanks anymore. I dont care what mix you have i dont trust it. Ten years ago we all though glass tanks were fine, and at the time they were but whos to say they wont increase ethenol even more in the future or find some new latest and greatest additive. I can do drop stainless and aluminum tank conversions for roughly the same cost of repairing poly and know they will last. Heck when i do conversions i only make about half as much on the labor but i would rather have piece of mind and know my customers will get years and years out of it. For piece of mind i just cant get behind glass tanks. Thats just my .02 cents.

DERAKANE 411 epoxy vinyl ester resin. This is the resin used for in the ground storage of ethenol. Ashland will provide a chemical resistance guide for you. Very important to keep hardner levels up, and cook off styrene before capping tank so not to trap styrene.

I don't think glass thanks are Coast Guard approved either.

Im pretty shure diesel yes, gasoline no. There are ways around this, race boat,coast gaurd waiver.
