GM rods or the Manley H beams ? ( as I recall, the
early 500 EFI's had GM rods in them)

The 73# sounds about right for the H beams though.

73 for the H beams. And ARP says if they are stretched more than .001" unloaded they should not be re-used. If you use a bolt stretch gauge they are supposed to stretch .005" when torqued. Make sure you grease the threads and heads before torquing.
