We will be running around Delray, Boynton, and eventually Lake Boca Sunday morning/early afternoon if anyone wants to meet up and run with us, or even hop in the Pantera for a quick blast

Rough weekend at Peanut Island:
RIVIERA BEACH — Two people on a sailboat were shot dead by a man who tried to paddle away on a kayak, according to a police spokeswoman.

That is the second time(actually 3rd) someone died out there. A couple years ago a guy got into a "boat rage" situation with a younger guy at that ramp. Fists flew, guns came out and the young guy left in a bag. Rough hood at times..........

Riviera Beach is such a nice ghetto. It's really too bad because Palm Beach and Peaunut Island were great 20 years ago.
And a guy in a kayak is trying to paddle away from a sailboat? That thought is painfully slow.....

Well,
The southern area of palm beach was awesome, Peanut is fun, but we normally beach on the quiet west side, or stay a bit off the actual sandbar, never had any trouble up there myself. We didnt get out the inlet, as Ray is still breaking in the new motor, and we had a couple small boats with us, a 1972 sidewinder, and a mid 80's checkmate bowrider with a merc inline 6 outboard(I got some video of a speed run he did to post later). The sidewinder broke something in the lower early in the day, so Mike and his son Chris rode to lake boca on the Pantera. The ride down was crowded, and didnt get much over 40, but the ride back north around 3 PM was WAY less crowded, and I was able to open it up a bit. The little Pantera impressed me again, about 700 pounds of people, 3 coolers and gear for 3, 3/4 tank fuel, Port side tab dropped to compensate for Mike
, against the current, still got 55MPH
SHHH, for those who are wondering, YES there is a (35mph)speed limit in that area, but other than the one bridge, its pretty wide open when not crowded. Once the water warms up a bit, we need to plan something to get the whole crew together somewhere.
