I was at walmart the other day and they had Super Tech 75-90 Syn gear lube? Has anybody used it or whats your thoughts. I know its supertech but seems to have all the ratings and at 6 bucks a Liter or quart I cant remember, doesnt seem bad. Either what is the correct viscosity to use in bravo drives??

The Supertech line is ok for a cheap oil- you get what you pay for in this case. Its considered a decent oil for the money. That said, you mention gear oil and I would not run this in my outdrive. First, its not a marine gear oil, and second there are better lubes out there for not much more money. (at least I think its not a marine gear lube- you do not specify but I assume its a auto lube). If in fact its a marine gear lube, then its probably somebody elses lube with the Supertech label. Since they probably sell it in small quantities (well, Walmart small quantities), there is no easy way to determine which oil blender actually makes it-
If I recall correctly, Supertech is the Walmart house brand oil. For a drive lube, I would much rather run something found at West Marine, even their cheapest house brand outdrive oil, than run this in my Bravo. But if you were running it in your car or truck its fine.

would not use it in a lawn mower...years ago I had a small jet boat that I bought and in the deal they installed a brand new complete engine, well used their 2 stroke oil in the new engine, it let go in 25 hours, was told was oil related, another new engine, then used a name brand oil and never had another issue....so done with any of their low $$ crap...walmart comes to companys and puts pressure on them on how can you make something to sell at a certain price...from oil to tractors...they get everything cheapened !!!

Step over a dime to make a nickle.
I sent a sample out from my drive with 34 hours on it (feeling guilty) and the lab came back telling me to go 50 hours next time. Royal Purple 75w90. Bravo 1 with arcticfriends cryoed gears and about 600 horsepower. Do not cheap out on oil.
