Default Drop in center Bolster?

I know I have seen this before where people mounted a rail to each bolster and then had a center section that would drop in. Now that I am going to redo my interior I thought it would be cool to see pics of this type of setup.

Thanks for the link. I got the idea from an outerlimits I saw, thought someone might have some more detailed pics of how it is set up.

Thanks for the pics. Next winter when I redo the interior in my Apache I plan to add a center insert as well. I plan to also make it a dual helm set up so as my son gets older one of us can drive and one of us can throttle.

Thanks for the pics, I couldn't remember how the insert was attached. Looks like it is just a simple channel system.

Does anyone like Eddie Marine or someone else make the male aluminum pieces??? I could make one out of stock but polishing it or anodizing it would probably be more hassle than it's worth.

There's lots of times on poker runs or just a day on the ocean where I wish I had that center bolster because 4 people were in the back seat as opposed to 3 and 3.

I got the aluminum section directly from OL and had my powder coat guy color it . We made the u channel out of starboard.
