Does anybody know the exact CRANE grind numbers for these 2 cams? A friend lost a lobe on a HP500 cam (2000model) and Merc wants a zillion $$ for a replacement.

The HP500 carb cam # is 169611. I can't find my old notes that had the EFI cam but it is different. Call Crane tell them the problem they will ship you a cam for about $230.00 you send them the old one. They are easy to work with.

If you are changing valve springs I would NOT recommend Crane. Try Comp Cams springs or someone else that has normal seat pressures.
