How do you flush your Mercury big blocks?

How do you flush your Mercury big blocks?
Mine are partially closed cooling but the manifolds and risers still have salt water cooling. I'm new to I/O's. My yamaha outboard was simple, I just hooked up a hose and turned on for 4 or 5 min. What do I do with these and the boat is always in the water in a slip.
