Ok I was looking at the MERC repair manual last night that I bought. And it was talking about a transmission. But didnt really make it clear if every engine has one. I have a 91 29 Fever with twins and Ive had a crownline before but never heard of a transmission. Thought it was just engine and drive. Can somebody fill me in and give me an detailed pics where to locate this

You should have Bravo 1 drives which do not use transmissions. Older I/O's like the TRS used a trans, and of course all inboard boats do. If you had a trans it would be mounted to the back of the bellhousing just in front of the transom.
