Wow...see how the instant he opened the canopy and fresh oxygen entered the vapors blew the sponson open. That could have ended badly. That guy was lucky.

I noticed that, too. Fires do love oxygen.

The accompanying story said the "damage and injuries could have been worse" but didn't mention that she'd been injured, much less the extent of her injuries. Did I miss something?

Regardless, she escaped. Machines can be replaced.
