Default What to paint a lift tube with?

Purchased a blue FG Hydrohoist brand tank to add to my boat lift, which has the black poly tanks. What type of paint would be recommended to paint the blue tank black that won't peel off? Don't want to use antifouling or any type that will come off if walked on. Rolled on and inexpensive preferred. It never will it be out of the water, just want it to match the black while lift is in the up position.

If it was me I woudl keep it blue. Paint will last a little while but eventually start to peel. So what do you think will look worse, a miss matched color or peeling paint....

For fully submerged like that there really are no products that will last any length of time. Anything cheap you'd put on there will just make a huge mess down the road. You could try rolling on gelcoat if its a must to change the color, your best bet will be a waxed gel. You will also need to sand the surface completely and very thoroughly with 180 or so

Never considered that. Blue it'll stay then.

Thanks for inputs
