Audio Warning System keeps beeping. Temp fluctates, but within
range. Oil Pressure is good. Stops only when a idle. All else appears to be ok. The motor is a new 2000 7.4 EFI replacement for a 1995 carbed 7.4. Help. This one is driving me nuts. Any ideas appreciated.

I am not sure about an EFI engine, but since you replaced a carb engine, the warning system should be same as I have. When I had trouble I isolated each sender to find the malfunctioning one. You should have one for the drive oil (Bravo), one for the temperature and one for engine oil. The system works by grounding through the sensors. Unplug/disconnect one at a time until you find which one is causing the alarm to sound.

I beleive only 3 things control the buzzer
I have some notion that there might be a fourth with EFI, but Iam really not sure.
OIL PRESSURE
WATER TEMP
AND THE MOST OVER LOOKED ONE
DRIVE OIL RESOVIOR
The fourth might be fuel pressure but not sure on that one.
The above 3 are definates.

Where is the fuel pressure sending unit? I doubt it was changed.
One other thing, on a retest, the temp guage is flucuating much more than it should. I've replaced the thermostat, impeller, and a bad intake hose. Same result. Possibly an air leak on the intake?? At idle it works and holds temp within a few degrees. When I open it up it goes nuts.
