Powerboat mag test data for 2003 Fountain 38 cruiser.
FUEL ECONOMY
At 25 mph ......0.8 mpg
At 35 mph ......1 mpg
At 45 mph ......1.1 mpg
At 55 mph ......0.6 mpg
At 65 mph ......0.9 mpg
At WOT ..........0.9 mpg
What happened at 55 miles an hour? Is this a normal thing?

If the steps started working a little better over 55 that is possible, that boat still has a lot of wetted surface at 55.

HAHA ! I figure I get more lift so therefore better mpg at higher speed. I was wondering why 55 mph would get less mpg than 45. I should be getting out of the water more at 55 than 45. But I somewhat understand. It just is !!
