Saw a best of 67 in my old Heat (2002) with one person, near empty tank, with the wind, with the tide, and light chop. Never duplicated. You're going to hit 62 in hot humid air and a load. Tried a bunch of props too.

With a 496? I know some HP 500 EFIs that barely hit that number.

Ahh...I thought you were referring to the Merc 496 which is what I had. 72 is a pipe dream with that motor and hull.

I was only that lucky once.... Chop was just right, headed down river with the current and the wind at my back. I boat mostly at Saguaro Lake in Phx, Az and there Im lucky to see 64... When it's dead hott here over 100+ degrees you can forget about it!
