Anyone have any pics/ tales from the Marina Bay 500 in Quincy, MA back around 1982 or so? I was just a kid but was there and remember the boats coming out on the travel lift and on trailers all over the pace. Weather was bad if I remember right, foggy and wet.
Thanks: Matt

is Marina bay that old? I lived in Boston in 96-97 and kept my boat at Marina Bay for a yr, I thought it was pretty new in 96. I lived on Savin Hill Ave, good times. I took a trip to Plymouth then over to the cape, accidentally ended up in Provincetown for the 4th of July weekend, what an experience that was.

fobes, I rember it well. Race New ENGLAND PUT IT ON, was a foggy day, almost got lost heading to the race start off Nantasket Beach. I'll look for pictures. Pete280 - Yes it is that old, before Marina Bay was developed it was known as BOSTON HARBOR MARINA, was there on my friends boat in 1967, over 500 slips. Long history, was an airport before that, Emieia Airhart flew out of there ! "HIGH LIFE"
