Default Trailer Height

Does anyone know, or know how I could find the trailer height of 272 27' Baja sitting on a 1998 eagle trailer? I just bought a new truck and am looking at picking the boat up out of town. I am not sure what drop to select when I buy my hitch. Are most trailers fairly similar in height?

Thanks!

Truck is a 2009 Ford F 150 4x4 w/ towing package, 20 Inch rims. I know how to figure out the drop, however I just don't know how high a trailer coupling sits off the ground.

You're going to better off calling and get a measurement of the coupler height above ground with the trailer parallel to a flat surface. There are too many variables(spring vs torsion axle, coupler type, trailer tire size, trailer tongue framing) of the trailer to give a definitive answer without measuring.

Have you thought about an adjustable height draw bar?

Unless your truck is lifted and you have an odd size trailer and/or trailer tires a 6" drop will work fine. I have a 6" lifted dodge 4x4 and I use an 8" drop. Once hitched this should place your trailer about level.

I have a 2008 Tundra pulling a Tech sun trailer. I actually took a 2" drop and turned it over for a lift to get parallel.
