I have a bad selenoid on my trim pump. The dealer changed on on the other side when I was looking at the boat. Now the other drive has the same trouble. I don't remember if the trouble before was going up or down.
Anyway, now it won't go down, or in you might call it.
I could mess with a test light to figure it out but this would be easier.

Look at the wires running from the solonoid to the pump.....Blue "sky" or UP, Green "grass" or DOWN...you can also run a jumper wire. Good luck
