Another option would be the forthcoming Dynojet CMD Marine unit (http://www.dynojetcmd.com). It is a piggy-back fuel tuning solution that directly plugs into the fuel injectors and takes over fueling of the engine with an easy-to-use offset fueling table.

If you've ever heard of our Power Commander product for motorcycles, ATV's, snowmobiles, etc, this product very similar, but geared for the marine market.

With integration of our AutoTune or WideBand 2 kits (http://ww.dynojetwb2.com), you can not only monitor air/fuel ratio, but specify a target air/fuel ratio and the unit will close-loop tune itself to achieve those targets while you drive.

I have a PCV on my Nytro XTX (snowmobile). Compared to the MEFI Burn how in depth is this, timing, etc. If I am going to spend 600 bones I want the most for my money.

Can anyone tell me if the base scan and tune unit is enough to tweak a dyno tuned map, I am running rich and want to lean it up a bit as well as add some more boost in the near future once I can get this setup running proper.

You need to know your sh!t to be messing with the mefiburn stuff. The ECM is locked so you have to start from scratch with your ECM.
There are guys out there that know what they are doing and they will sell you a base tune so you have something to start with. Again, you need to know, really, really, really know what you are doing to take it any further.

mefituning.com is my recommendation.

Timing control is not built into the basic CMD Marine unit. We are working to leverage our Ignition 2 timing controller into the marine market, but that is in its infancy currently.

Just like your PCV, this unit has full fuel control. Actually, the software is very similar to what you know from your Power Commander V. It can AutoTune based on wideband feedback, just like your PCV. Installation is very straight foward, plugging into the injectors and tapping two wires on the MAP sensor. Most of the options are still available in the software, like startup fuel, accelerator pump feature, etc. Things that didn't make sense, like gear ratio and speed input, were removed.

This motor was dyno tuned, would the ECM still be locked? The motor has some head work done, it wasn't just a bolt on whipple and go. And with this software will it do multiple ECM's or only one? Thinking about splitting the cost with a buddy and want to know if this is like a car/truck programer that is one time use. I have a friend who owns a dyno shop and is pretty good with EFI stuff so I wont be the one changing numbers. My setup is pretty rich, to the point of flooding out hen de-weeding the drive, did it once last year and wouldn't start for 10-15 minutes. It idles and runs ok but quick on and off throttle is where it has issue, but I am sure its still rich every where else.

Who tuned it? I imagine they locked the ECM and if they did then you'll either need to take it back to them and have them unlock it for you, which they won't or you need to crack their password code and tweak where you think it needs tweaking or you need to wipe it and start over.
You can tune all the ECMs you want with the mefiburn stuff.

Performance Marine in Oshkosh WI, I believe the name has changed since this boat was done. I called them when I took ownership of the boat to ask about the rich running issues and they told me thats what whipples do ...... LOL ..... OK buddy. This makes me want to re-tune the motor even more. The combination of the tune and my prop slip are costing me a ton of MPH, I know this hull is not made to go above 65-70? but I have good power and want to get what I can till I can afford something a little more speed worthy, then I will drop this motor in with more goodies.
