Default Anodes ... new shopping area!

We want feedback on our new on-line shopping methods for Anodes.

We are changing the way you can shop for anodes, so as we work on it, we would like your feedback. Please keep in mind, images are still being uploaded.

For one week, we're offering a coupon for 10% off our anodes ... plus, we're going to randomly select one of the people who make comments about our new on-line shopping methods and give you a full anode kit for your engine, free. Leave your feedback here on OffShoreOnly, in this thread!

One winner per week. (Must be an engine for which we offer kits.) Winner will pay shipping.

Your 10% will come off when you put the anode in your cart and type "Anode5" in the coupon code field.

Start shopping by clicking here!

I don't have the exact 847266. My dimensions are off a bit. It may matter and I don't want you to have the wrong part.

You need these - 2 of each per drive.

ANODE (#847266)
ANODE (#848653T)

Google them and get them in aluminum if there's a choice.

Thanks Russ. What are the dimensions of your 847266 alternative? Do you carry the 848653T?

Do you carry the kits in magnesium for the Gen2 Alphas?

BTW, you show the same pt# for both the Zinc and Alum kits.

Very good pricing.

Well, I promised a full anode set to one of the people who responded to the thread and I do like to keep my word. It looks like SS930 is the winner. I'll see if I can build one for your current drive.

We'll buy you the kit, you just have to pay shipping.

SS930 - you will be contacted today by Lauren from our office.

Thank you VERY much. I'll take care of the part number issue right away. I'm also sorting the other section by part number and adding a bravo I drive separate from II and III.

We don't have magnesium. I'm wondering whether magnesium is a big impact vs aluminum. Magnesium is like an alka seltzer in salt water and the AL is adequate in fresh water. I kind of thought we had it covered.

Do you fresh water guys really think magnesium makes that big of a difference? We've had discussions with metallurgists and they suggest that the difference in the nobility may not have that substantial of an impact in protecting the hardware. Just wondering about your thoughts.

Is magnesium worth it? Any horror stories out there?

Oh........MaryAnn. Everyone knows it's MaryAnn.

I don't know, just going by the articles that state the magnesium is best for freshwater use, so that's what I use. I think the ones Merc installs are zinc, to cover both bases???? Figured go the best protection given an option. Thanks for the response. I'm going to be needing 2 kits when I decide what material.

MaryAnn always wins.
