Default Differences between a 350 mag MPI motor and a GM 350 HO Ram Jet engine

I'm looking at a boat that has a GM 350 Ram Jet engine in it and wondering if anybody has used that engine in a boat before. The boat I currently have has a 2006 350 Mag MPI engine in it. Both engines have the same compression (9.4), but the Ram Jet recommends 92 octane fuel whereas the merc engine recommends 87. Is the difference between the two mainly in the spark table?

If memory serves the Ram Jet is a GMPP crate motor designed for cars, around 350hp or so. Everything is different on that motor versus the 350 Mag.

Different heads, cam, ignition, fuel injection, pistons, etc. Can't really compare the two except they are both 350's and probably close to the same HP, maybe a little more for the Ram Jet but who knows.

Me, I would rather have the 350 MAG, its a known commodity and worth more $$$
