Angry Prop Puller - Stuck Volvo DP front prop

Does anyone have a puller like this one?

We have some stuck props that will not come loose. I hate to spend the $300 for something I think I will only need once.

Anyone have one they would be willing to loan or rent?

I'd be happy to make a deposit for the full replacement cost, as well as a rental fee.

If not I'm going to try the cable through the hub method.

Thanks!

I bet a local boat shop would have one you could borrow. Be careful. When we pulled a stuck prop off with a prop puller, the prop shot out like a rocket and hit my friends leg and it cut him pretty bad. Also, he was wearing jeans. I have never seen a prop puller like your image shows.

I've tried all the guys around here, no one has anything they would loan. And they are 2 weeks out before they can get to it. If I have to, I'll rig up some cables through the hub with a 3 jaw puller. Just saw this and thought it was pretty slick.

Is the boat in the water or on a trailer? If it's mobile/on a trailer; get cozy with one of the shops and show up on Friday afternoon with a case of beer, and willing to pay for an hour's labor.
