Default repower specialist in RI southeastern MA area

I am looking to repower a Formula 233. The 454 in her just went bye bye. Any suggestions in the area? Any performance marine specialists anyone knows of? thanks

I know I have been happy with Nopper for the work they did on my lowers, but I am not sure if they repower or not.

Also Sick stinger on this forum does mechanical work and is just finishing up his CIG, he's a performance boater who has a repair facility, but again what he does for customers I dont know, PM either of them and ask them. Both are good guys and will tell it to you straight.

New Merc 383 stroker with the new exhaust. This is Merc's recommended replacement engine for most 454's. I replaced a 454 in a Sea Ray with the carb version and I did not even need to re prop.

Default 233 repower

Thanks for the quick responses guys. I was planning on a replacement/ upgrade since that seems to be how it goes on anything I own. (jeeps, mustangs grand nationals, 69 camaro and on and on) This 233 looks fast, its yellow, and now it needs some GO to match.

Ocean Performance in Old Saybrook has a 454 (468in I think) with a nice blower shop blower on it sitting on the floor waiting for a new home. Give Bill a call 860-388-6000.

Default repower

Thanks again for the input guys. I ended up buying the 383 mag complete motor from mercruiser. They offered a 3 year full warranty so i went with that. I guess we'll see. Its rated at 350 hp and 429 ft lbs so it should do ok.
