Default new outdrive?

thinking of stepping up the hp on my boat. what do i need to do for a reliable drive? i have a blown 700hp mtr now with a 04 xr drive with the sportmaster lower, and have had no problems. thinking of pushing the 850-900hp mark.

Bmax, Arneson, IMCO SCX. The least expensice option would be the Bmax and then the SCX followed by the Arneson.
All have their pros & cons. I think the Bmax is the most "bolt-on" friendly of the three.

Cool, what did that do speed wise? How high did the super chiller raise everything? I see your considering going another direction on the next power upgrade. I'd like first crack @ the 256 if you do.

I agree, with the word RELIABLE in mind don't consider any Bravo based drive unless you like working on them although I read that All American drive service was giving 2 year warranty's, not sure what power level THAT is at though, Smitty
