Here's the link. I'm curious about it too. Less than 100hrs on the power? Looks like it sat for a while... Everthings gotta be gone through hugh? Is this still a fair "buy it now" price?

hmmmmm. It says no sea trial? They expect someone to drop 40k and not even put it in the water to see if it even floats?

If a guy put $50,000 in it and a ton of time, would it be worth $100k? I don't think so.

Boat is sold AS-IS...NO sea trials!
And the underlying truth,"we/the owner need to get the F!$K out of this thing without spending a single cent more on it!"....
Geeze, at least let us see the E/R rigging and why the exhaust is disconnected on the port engine.....

I suppose we could pick it apart until the wee hours of the morning(wait, it already is....) but theres a reason it's 40K...

A good story is always better than cut and dry...

First 48 with triples, many owners over the years. Storied past. I believe it sank during a race, messy fight with Focht and C&G. Ran over another boat while leaving Port Everglades one year, during Fort Lauderdale boat show. Always wondered what happened to it.

This boat belongs to a friend of mine. I haven't seen it for years but last time I saw it was real nice and not in the present condition. This boat was maintained with an open checkbook and is their second 48 Express. I believe they bought a Cigarette Tiger and I guess this was put on the back burner. He's not on offshoreonly only but well known in the powerboat scene with all the big names. He does also some transport and driving (rigs/trailers etc.) for some big teams. If anyone is interested you can P.M. me I can get you in contact with him.
