first time out this year and water temp was all over the place. I have a hp500 with a crossover, it has a 1" bypass and four holes drilled in the thermostat.
When ideling out of the cove the temp was fine 160. When getting on plane the temp drops down to 110 and then starts to climb up to 250, I was stopping when i saw the temp and the temp immediatly starts to drop back to 160. Did it twice so i pulled the thermostat out and ran like that the rest of the weekend since i wasant going far.
with out stat the temp guage never moves.
Going to try restrictors instead of a tstat, Does anyone have any other suggestions
