Default Muffler Question

I am getting ready to order CMI sport tubes and need to know what muffler to order. I want the quietest one available. Any input would be great.
Thanks

CMI Sound Elimination Mufflers. Most people with complain about them being too quiet at idle.

I wouldn't go with anything else but what griff said unless you went with shotguns. Anything I've ever tried that did much good as far as lower db also lowered top end.

I think I will go with turn down tips and add a GGB inline insert.
This was recommended to me from a well respected boat manufacture. They said this company really has the best out there. Has anyone tried the inserts? Just wondering what length to go with 8" or 16"? I would like a nice quiet 100MPH ride.
Thanks

CMI Sound Elimination, get the 6" diameter. They are good to about 750 to 800 HP in my opinion - about the same as Shotguns. They both sound good at idle and are fairly quiet. (I have both, but use neither any more as they hold the engine back some).
I have a set of CMI Sound Elimination 6" dia. clamp-ons for 5" pipes in great condition that I would make you a great deal on, say $400.

Give Graham a call at GGB he'll set you up. They're excellent!

Wink

I have recommended quite a few boaters to Aqua Power Ltd. in Ohio and they have all had great results and no loss of power. I think these may be some of the best and I hear the customer service is excellent on an excellent product. Check em out.

On of these products sure looks like the Gibson product.

Speaking of Gibson, anyone with comments about their product?
