Does any one know what model head unit that Clarion put into a 2001 Baja 272? I am curious to the stock head units features / if it had an aux in port or not. Thanks!

I don't know if this will help you or not but mine is a 2004 and the Clarion I took out did NOT have a aux port. I had to swap mine so I could add an ipod adapter.

I have an 01 and the stereo is stock. The head unit shows Clarion XMD1

That is what I plan to do, what kind did you buy? I am guessing I will need to buy a adapter as well since the clarion looks a bit bigger then most standard head units.

I just bought a fairly cheap JBL replacement but in the spring I am putting in an Alpine system. The shop that is doing it has a guy that will make a plate to fit over the hole that will be the same color as the boat to accomodate the newer smaller units. Should look nice.
