In the BatBoat, I have a Racing Communications radio that I had the add some marine channels on. Along with some headsets, I ordered an antenna and a "ground plane" kit. The ground plane has the antenna mount and a sheet of thin plastic that is about 2'X2' (the plastic sheet goes on the bottom side of the fiberglass). Would I be better off mounting it somewhere on the bow, or on top of the engine hatch? It is a full canopy, so that would be the highest point. Would I get interference from the engine electronics? If mounted on the bow, would it give less range behind me? Thanks!
