Question

Good question SkyDog, I'd like to know too.... I was talking to a guy at DS recently, and he has an 05 27 Daytona, standard deck, for sale,w/ a Boostpower quad 1100HP, and he said the boat is capable of 130+mph, but idk.....

Anyone know?... I'm sure someone has gone faster at LOTO or somewhere.... I know Teague drove a 25 to 144mph several years ago...

Yea sounds right I have a std deck and about 1000hp boat has gone 127mph. But for much more need a 1.25 gear and I know that will not hold up longer than a week if lucky. Haha I think 135 could be had with 1100hp and that gear.

Hey, let me ask you about the standard deck 27... Do u perfer the half windshields over the 27ICC... I've been in a 30ICC and hated looking into the canopies... My dad and I were discussing possibly selling the 25, and moving up to a 27 Standard deck, we aren't real fond of the canopy 27s...

Do u get nice wind protection with your 27?

Yep, I agree, the 27 standard is a great looking/handling boat.. thnx for the tip on the wind... I wasn't sure, haven't been in one yet... Great boat for havasu, single engine, but still big enough to handle the lake chop...

Speedsters look amazing , of course, my only issue with it, is have u noticed with the full/wrap windshield its very difficult to access the bow of the boat from the inside... U have to climb over the top of the windshield.... im not sure, but there's no room to walk around the sides, boats not wide enough...... What do u think?.... I like the stand deck 27 and canopy boats, bcuz you can access the bow by simply stepping bwtn them....
