so I get home from a fun filled day of boating yesterday only to open a letter from markel that says I am not being renewed due to "agent no longer represents company" I am assuming that I just need to contact another agent? anyone else get one of these letters. The agent was Elton Porter and I had zero complaints with them.

Had a similar experence with World Wide Marine and insurer.
What peeved me is the so called caring agent never notified me of the situation.
I contacted another agent and was re-insured.

I got jerked around by Markel too. Call Sy, he'll take care of you.

Due to the size of your boat, Markel is the best program for you and likely the least expensive. I just PM'd you a new agent's contact info that you can call. You can have them just re-write your policy. You also might be able to just move your policy with a broker of record letter over to this new agent too. That would be the easiest thing to do if it's possible.

If your boat is capable of under 75mph, give me a call and I might have a better market for you than Markel.

You should have your quote as John told me he has it.I'm sorry it took a while but it was not from our own program.I can do a quote in minutes if the boat fits our guidelines but yours was a foot too short.
