Last year we had a great turn out and something like 37 boats for the Friday Lunch run which was awesome. We ended up having to leave a few volunteers behind on the lake because that good a turn out was unexpected and the lock could not fit everyone.
What do you think of making and early and later lock through if it looks like we will have that kind of turn out again? I want to avoid having people coming over to make the lunch run and then getting left behind because of space constraints.
Put a quick post if you plan to making the lunch run so I can get an early feel for the count.
Thanks
Ralph

The original plan was to lock through at 11:00 am as posted on the MCPA website, but it will take two cycles to get everyone through if last year's attendance of 30+ boats is repeated or exceeded.
My suggestion is that we plan two lock throughs. One at around 9:30 to 10:00 and 11:00 for the last group. Once around 15 to 20 boats are gathered - the first group should go so they can cycle the locks. This should allow enough time for everyone.
Anyone want to volunteer to help coordinate this. I am not 100% sure that I can be at the dam. I have some unexpected developments at work. PM or email me and I will send the reservation permit numbers for the river front docks to you. We are at Joe's Crab shack again. They are expecting us with a large group.
Thanks
