I did this trip maybe 15 years ago (and continued onward to FL). The ocean can get rough out there. We caught air in a 45 Viking sportfish and broke the weld on the pickup tube to the fuel tank on one engine. I didn't think it was possible to catch air running 20-ish knots in a 40,000 pound boat but those seas proved that wrong.

If I want to take a look at a boat at comstock yacht sales in brick, can I come inland at manasquan inlet and run in the small river to brick? Also Have a stop at lanoka harbor marina, how far in boat is it from brick?

It depends on where in Brick. Brick has waterfront on the Manasquan as well as the Meteconk, Beaver Dam Creek, Kettle Creek, Silver Bay and the northern Barnegat Bay.
You have approx. 1.5 miles from the inlet to the Pt Pleasant Canal. The Canal is another mile long no wake zone. If your are going to the end of the Metedeconk add another 5 miles.
Yes, you can run inside as much as you want once you get to the Manasquan Inlet. Be prepared to navigate the waters once you get passed Barnegat inlet on the Intracoastal though...

when you say: be prepared to navigate the water,do you mean I should stay inland at or after barnegat? or I have to go offshore ?

Also stay offshore about 2 miles as you get towards Holgate inlet. Many shoals there on the outside. I you you are near them, you will see the waves breaking over 1 mile out...
