as I was leaving the marina area I happened to see a sign. local ordinance not over 8' wide or 55' total length.so I called and asked, yes bumper to bumper[back of drives or farthest point ]permits are $25 one way one day, $40 2 ways same day or $120 for the sesason. officer could not tell me how much the fine would be.I got lucky ,there was a squad on the side of the road and he left me alone. measured the truck today Im 64' crew cab dually and 35 cigarette. sounds like I go to waukegan.

I went through there on Friday and Saturday with a F250 crew and a 35' fountain with no issues.....but I have heard others did a few years back

I think thats been there since they built the place. A couple years ago one bad cop was nailing everyone, but they got rid of him. Probably best or nobody would use the facility - bad for business.

I know several boats that have been through without issue. Typically they don't bother you unless something is obviously wrong, i.e. no plates, out of date tags, Explorer pulling 42 Fountain, etc.
