502 rectangular port heads on HP 500
am wondering can I use a fresh set of gen V 502 rectangular port heads on my gen 6 HP 500 Merc?

Yes, they will bolt on and perform similarly. However, the HP 500 heads were equipped with Inconnel exhaust valves by Mercury Racing in place of the stock GM valves, so keep this in mind if you plan to run it hard or install a supercharger.
