Default Help! Smoke on the Water!

Hey all!
Hope everyone is enjoying burning some gas this summer! So I was putting my boat in on a dark night last weekend. It was dark, and still have some debris on Cumberland so I was running prob about 1500 RPM for about 15 min through the through hall exhaust. When I got to my slip and stopped with the boat still idling I noticed an alarming amount of smoke bellowing from the exhaust. It was pretty dark but it seemed to be a lighter color smoke and not typical with a motor that was loading up on fuel. I gave it some RPM to try to clear it out which might have helped a it but it was still smoking. I checked all my gauges and all was well so I shut her down for the night. The next morn it started perfectly and I did a visual inspection and saw nothing out of the ordinary. I put it on plane and it ran like a champ all day with no issues at all. Its a 95 525SC with a fresh top end (55 hours). So can anyone chime in on this? It seems the motor is a unhappy as I am without the hammer down. Thanks in advance!

Mine does this and freaks me out when we are out on a cool night.... as long as your gauges are fine you are ok. Just steam from the difference in air and water temp.

Mine did the same thing last Saturday evening on Barren River Lake. Between the temp and all the moisture in the air was causing alot of steam.
