Default Refigerator Question

I have a 04 Baja 302 and it came with a 2sq ft NorCold refigerator. It is not getting cold all the sudden. I can can hear it kicking on and running, but it does not get cold. It sounds like the compressor kicks on for a few seconds, and then goes off. It continues to do this. It does not matter whether I am hooked up to shore power or out on the water. Has anyone seen this or have any suggestions?

Default The bad news

You probably already noticed but it is likely impossible to get that thing out through your cabin door. So, before you order a new one you might consider replacing the compressor if that turns out to be the problem. I don't remember if that has a start/run capacitor or not. Those can be the culprit and a cheap fix if it is. This probably wasn't much help but hopefully a couple things to check out. good luck.

Call an RV store. They know all about that kind of stuff. I haven't a clue other than that advice.

If its trying to start its either the compressor or start relay.
You could also try a 3n1 hard start to get the compressor running

if it kicks on and turns off right away you need to recharge it with freon its easy to check it just put some gauges and it will tell you.

I was hoping this was it. They are crazy expensive for a new one! It worked three weekends ago, then didn't the next. The following it worked again...now nothing. Is this something I can fill myself or do I need to get the marina involved?

Thanks for all the help guys!
