Default HP 500 fuel/water pump

What type of oil do I need for my 1995 HP500 fuel/water pump?

That is correct! It calls for "high performance gear lube" any traces of gasoline smell in the old oil and you need a new fuel pump.

Mine is always full of fuel. Replaced both pumps and same thing next oil change. So I just change the oil every 10 hours. I'm glad it's not going into the engine. I don't have drains so I suck it out and fill it with a syringe and small hose. It's been fine for years. Also, there isn't anything coming out the vent. Quick Silver HP Gear Oil.

It will always smell of fuel after a season, no problem.

Yep, mine always did as well. Oil was never diluted or level rose, just smelled like gas. Changed it twice a yr to be safe and never an issue.
