Default LOTO shootout 2011

I been looking at the race course map. It seems like a good course. My question is when we tie up and anchor off to watch, do we have to move after the races or will the no wake zone stay no wake all weekend? I'd like to park the boat Saturday till Sunday sometime without moving

I'm pretty sure the no wake zone ends at 5 pm each day or when the event is over for the day. not 100% though.

You will not want to stay on anchor where the raft-off lines will form after the event is over on Saturday.

you can idle back by capt. rons which is in a little cove only like a 2min ride away. except for the people going back to rons to get hammerd after the shoot out it usually stays pretty calm in there.

Correct, that's an understatement, it's a ***** when the boats break up, you better hold on.

We are planning on rafting up for the shootout, will we need 2 anchors or will one do it?

I would assume one boat would anchor off the bow the next would anchor off stern...

You could go back into the cove by Bulldogs @ the
32 mm....saw some cruisers rafting up there last couple of year on Sat after the Shootout.
