Default cherry neutral safety switch

I have 2000 donzi 28zx with livorsi controls. port switch is bad. switch is made by cherry electronics. tried getting one from livorsi but recieved the wrong one. the contact on this switch is curled back opposed to flat which is what they sent me. can't seem to match it up on cherry's website as its probably obsolete. anyone know of a direct match. also, any other downside to bypassing switch other than it's intended safety feature. All imput appreciated. Thanks.

My cousin's old Top Gun didn't have the neutral safety swith wired. As long as your are cognizant of what is going on you can probably get by with it bypassed for the time being.

On the plus side of no switch, don't have to fight trying to get the drive out of gear w/o damaging anything if the motor dies.

I had one go bad this weekend on my 2000 28zx... did you ever find the correct switch you were looking for? I just jumped the two wires to get home on both engines.

If there is a number on the switch, and you cant get it from the dealer, try Mouser electronics.
