need some help I have a king cobra out drive I installed a new impeller some times it pumps and some times it dosnt even when the force of the garden hose?????? NOTHING is clogged I noticed that when I put the drive back on there is a large rectaingle shaped O ring that goes on first then when I put the large paper gaskit on it covers the O ring but not the water passage is it supposed to or will that make it suck air????? I realy want to test these new motors but not whith out pumping water im stumped

had the same issue years ago on mine...found it to be the aftermarket impellors was using were not quite made to the right size, went back to OMC and was fine...now have no idea whats available today....
