Did anyone change over the stock exhust manifolds to CMI or DANA exhaust manifolds on a 34 vyper with 496 MAG HO'S? Do thay fit or are the engines to close together? If so any power gain?

Different boat but I saw absolutely ZERO gain after plopping down $4,600 for CMIs for my old 496 HO.

Has anyone seen or have a vyper with 496's MAG HO's that had dana or CMI header exhaust systems changed from stock? Do they fit side by side? I was told they mite not because the engines are two close together. Any info would help before I decide to change out the exhaust system.

Shogren just sold a 2002 340 with 496s and it had Dana exhaust on it...

may I ask why you want to replace your stock exhaust???

Believe it or not the 496 has a really good factory exhaust on them. i would not fork over the money....but maybe some porting to the stock ones.....

I was told it would give me 6-7 mph more and better sounding exhaust.

you may want to call Ray at Raylar all he deals with is 496s and has tested aftermarket exhaust systems and has not seen any gains,,,the stock exhaust is pretty good .
